Should I send my picture to my psn friend?

Im a girl and I'm 15. I met this guy playing cod4 on playstation network and we've been psn friends for over a year now and talk very often. he asked me a few months ago for my picture i said id rather not post it to people on the internet and he said he respects my decision. he recently sent me pics of him and of his cousins and sisters (that he told me about, we often talk about real life stuff not just video games). he didnt ask me to send him a picture but i think it would be fair cause he send me 1. he's 25 (yeah much older than me but we still get along really well) and lives in another country. anyway i just thought about sending him a normal picture of me so he can see what i look like. i heard at school about these terrible stories that people photoshopped thier friends picture as a revenge when they fought and posted them online. that just scares me so is the fact that once he has my pic he'll have it forever and he's far away from me. i just have a problem trusting people even though i "know" him really well and for a long time.. so should i send him my picture? i kinda want to send it to him but im a bit worried.
