Amd x2 250 versus intel dual core e5700?

Well, the Athlon II 250 will generally give you a VERY slightly higher framerate in games, but the E5700 will be snappier in Windows and will be quicker at editing and rendering media. If you have great memory though, then get the 250 for sure though. The E5700 doesn't have memory controllers so its memory bandwidth is slightly less.
