Need help pulling my sh:@ together, am i depressed?

Im 27 living in the states. Growing up my parents were extrememly inactive and i never saw them reading a book once in their lives. They had trouble following conversations and i think i out grew them intellectually by the age of 14. But now im finding that i am turning into them, my dad especially. I accomplish nothing and i barely have the energy to read a headline, im completely inactive and look deshevled and old. A couple years ago a group of friends had urged me to go into modelling because i had a unique look but i cant seem to get my life started. If anyone has any words of wisdom i could really use it right about now
