Dell i3- nvidia 420 or HPi3, ati 5650?

You are right, I would go with the Dell, I like it more. Unfortunately, you haven't said anything about the other PCs except they are pots HP. I know that Dell has good battery life. The HP i5 has the best processor, and the weakest graphics. It's completely your call.
